In this video, we take a look at the all-new ZimaBoard 2 x86 single-board computer and see what happens when we install Bazzite on it.

The ZimaBoard 2 is usually used for home labs, NAS setups, media servers, and self-hosting projects, but since it’s a full x86 platform that supports both Windows and Linux, I wanted to try something different and see if it could handle some gaming. 

In this video, I install Bazzite on a 2014 Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon and test PS2 and retro gaming performance on Intel HD 4400 graphics.

This laptop was originally designed for office work, but with the right Linux distribution it can be transformed into a lightweight retro gaming and Steam machine. I’ll walk through the installation process, show real gameplay performance using PCSX2, PPSSPP, and EmuDeck, and test how far this older hardware can go.
